NEWS | AFTER THE ACHIEVEMENT OF 3 MILLIONS VISITORS, NEW TARGET OF 5 MILLIONS VISITORS WAS SET
 

Today, 15th July 2010, Ministry of Trade conducted a press conference to announce the new Indonesia Pavilion visitor target of 5 million people, combined with  the ceremonial of latest achievement of Indonesia Pavilion whereas visitors exceeded 3 millions people. The event was held in the auditorium of Ministry of Trade building from 10.00 – 11.30 AM, then followed by lunch for all committee and participants. Media journalists, creative community and partners of Indonesia Pavilion community were crowded in the event.

The previous target which is 3 millions visitors of Indonesia Pavilion were achieved by the 10th weeks of World Expo 2010 Shanghai, China, exactly at the 69th day which fell on Thursday, 8th July 2010 on the 13.15 local time. Thus why Indonesia Pavilion committee optimistically set the next target of 5 millions. This numbers might be replaced by higher number as soon as it is achieved before the end of World Expo 2010 Shanghai, China,  or the end of October 2010 by date.

During the press conference, the Minister of Trade elaborated the reasons behind the advance of Indonesia Pavilion success promotion. The excellent design of Indonesia Pavilion makes the booth stands out amongst the international community. Architecturally, the pavilion was designed as a four storey building with a lot of open spaces that allow visitors to move around freely and avoid long queue at the entrance. Not only that, all visitors of Indonesian Pavilion are always continuously entertained by cultural performance that are presented five times a day, mainly in the amphitheatre. The design and features in Indonesia Pavilion have been researched and prepared couple years before since the committee announced the World Expo will be held with “Better City. Better Life” theme.

Indonesia Pavilion is also supported and highly appreciated by Pandji Pragiwaksono who has offered himself to be a key opinion leader. In his short speech, Pandji mentioned that he intends to use the power of Indonesia online community to promote Indonesia Pavilion in World Expo 2010 Shanghai, China. According to the facts, Indonesia is the second country who posses the largest internet users after USA, 80% of those people are belong to the productive age group of 15 – 30 years old. This fact shows that young people of Indonesia are eager to earn and share information through internet technology.
